Q: Audi A6 and beeping noise when you put the key into ignition?
Anyone by any chance know why this beeping noise starts(3times) as soon as I put the key into ignition?It's Audi A6. Thanks for help! By the way,it's not automatic.

A: Well like many cars now days: You need to check out your manual if by any chance you don't have it. Many manufacturers uses the same warning sounds in example my Acural TL Type-S will beep 3 times if i: Don't buckle my seat-belt (when i insert my key in the slot) Or if i missed the Performance Routine Check (when there is in ignition) 3 beeps for the same thing Try to check it out buckle up first without opening the key to ignition then start the car if it stop then is the Seat-Belt warning. If not then it may be the Routine Performance Check (in example Oil Change) and there perhaps will be an Icon on the Instrument panel for performance check that will go off all the time if you keep prolonging it (You can Reset it if Lousy but Not advisable) Hope it Helps

A: potential problems include electrical problems, thought that is the case with all vw/audis it seems do you noe the person well? do they take care of it well? that is prob a big question you have to noe b4 deciding.

I am looking at a roomy Sedan. What would you buy an Accord, an A6 or an S60 or S80? Safety, reliability and comfort are my main concern

A: Comfort and interior detail and style: Audi is often considered the world benchmark here. They are reliable but servicing costs are high. Safety is excellent The Volvo alternatives are a bit more stylish than the Accord but they are not built like they used to be. Electrical gremlins are common as they get older. Safety is first class. Servicing costs are not as high as for an Audi. The Accord probably the easiest to live with in terms of reliability and depreciation. Servicing costs will probably be in the same league as the Volvo. Comfort in the bigger US Accord (as opposed to the international Accord Euro which is a different car), will be a plus too, and it will ride accourding to American tastes: and still handle sort of okay. The Audi will be firm by US tastes and handle brilliantly. The Vilvo will have US spec suspension,which is softer than that found elsewhwere- it is not as tidy a handler as the Audi.

A: probably it is the strut mounts or either the upper or lower strut bearings the struts themselfs shouldn't squeak but aslong as your in there i would replace them audis A6 struts are usualy good for 110K+ miles. i have replaced mine at 135K on one A6 and 112K on anouther.

A: good luck the ownders manual will tell you how to do it but ive tried about 10 with my 2000 a4 and still cant get it to work

A: The Audi is better. The Saab is literally a ten-year-old design! Both of these cars are okay luxury sedans, but the Mercedes E-class, the BMW 5-series, and the Infiniti M-series are all better cars for the money.

Q: I want to buy an 1998 Audi A6 with 130K miles in excellent condition, should I buy it?
I am concerned with all the reports of expensive maintanance. Is this true? Please advise.

A: I would only consider this car if you have all of the maintenance records - make sure it's been by the book or better. If so, then just make sure you aren't overpaying for it, even though it should be reasonably reliable, it will cost plenty if anything major goes wrong - that's pretty much the case with all European cars. I own an Accord - but I know that is a much less luxurious car - consider a used Lexus or Acura, the reliability of these cars is first rate, and they can be just as nice as the Audi from a luxury/comfort standpoint.

Q: Audi A6 1.9tdi 110hp 1999 will not accelerate past 60 and struggles to get to 60 through all the gears .?
Car idles fine. When driving i have to take it easy because if i try to accelerate hard it loses power and you need to go back down the gears again. The car will go no more than 60mph. Struggles to get to this speed. We have checked diesel pump the turbo, now changing air flow meter. Injectors are fine also.

Looking at the 2.8 avant quattro petrol as its cheaper than the 2.5tdi avant quattro , the 2.5tdi does around mid -high 30´s, whats the 2.8 petrol quattro economy like and is it nicer to drive also.
